why is he singing like that i almost dry heaved! When i tell you i was Going Through It. please be quiet i am breaking down. please respect my privacy in these difficult times. that was honestly a lot to go through but what a delicious amazing song.
thank you.
WATER DROP - we are slowing it down and giving me a chance to breathe. i appreciate it. it's time to sway side to side. i will not be lifting my lighter because it is low on oil. but this is the slightly rarer type of ballad that i can completely lose myself in, i love that.
WIND - gongchan's sweet sweet vocals. EXCUSE ME CNU WHY DID YOU ATTACK ME LIKE THAT. who is doing what sandeul does. his range. his control. his tone. i need a moment. please help me i am losing my mind. it's like i almost forgot what the human voice could do and then sandeul just came to murder me in the face. i honestly don't have much to say about the song, i know i will be listening to it just for that simple yet tasty melodic flow underneath the vocal slayage that i wonder if i even deserve. fuck.
PLODDING (SANDEUL SOLO) - as if that wasn't enough, sandeul is going to change it up a little and still kill you. incredible. even if this isn't your style of song, please listen to this once in your life. this one is not giving me everything the others did in terms of how much i love the melody but it's still really good.
COLORED WITH LOVE (GONGCHAN SOLO) - oh gosh i love that opening...gongchan uwu. that's so lovely i am soft. and emotional again. he's still like a fluffy baby to me when he sings. but songwise, i love this style, actually. it has an older kpop ballad feel a bit. maybe it's even more traditional, but i really really like that.
LET'S FLY - i thought we would speed up a little by here but this album is more consistent than that with the sound. their voices carry so much emotion and this song seems so encouraging and less rolling in the deep, if you will of the other kinds of feelings. this gives me flashbacks to college and the production actually resembles that of some of that era's slightly faster ballads by sm producers, which is interesting, but it's still colored with b1a4's style.
TONIGHT - okay so here is where we dance. that bass, yum. oh hell yes! i love when cnu yells in songs, honestly. this is definitely a slightly different take on a disco feel and sound. and i love it! you better na na na na na na na na! it's almost got a bit of eurobeat going on, maybe i'm tripping. but regardless, this is a jam.
FOR BANA - another classic-sounding ballad that has me swaying happily. i bet i will sob reading these lyrics so let me just enjoy the melody and vocals right now. which i am a lot. god i love them.
<aside> 💡 final thoughts: sigh, where do i start. i am just so thankful to get this album in 2020. what a freaking time. i needed this sound, this lovely pure magical music in my life. cnu's honey vocals, sandeul's inhuman slayage, gongchan's soft quality vocals. this mood and genre that isn't as common anymore in kpop. my boys. my b1a4. my bipo. this isn't the kind of album with a bunch of catchy club bangers to go crazy at but it's still an absolutely amazing album in their unique color and i'm just so happy with it. i think i could put this entire album on in any order and not skip anything and enjoy myself and it would lift my spirits so much or i could lay there and absorb the vocals and melodies deliciously. i am so thankful to be writing this, i just want to cry.
