TURN BACK TIME - this song has its charms but sadly it's just not one i can listen to much. i love the video but it's not their best.
BAD ALIVE - i think it's just as good as the english version even though i love those wild if lowkey cringy lyrics. this song just goes hard with a good melody, what more can you want. also thinking about ten. and yang yang. i don't want to be thinking about yang yang. get out of here boy!
UNBREAKABLE - yes. yes. this is what i am here for. and then yang yang went off. listen. did you hear what i just said? anyway this is such a good song. we love to hear it. lucas...can you chill?
AFTER MIDNIGHT - YES! i said this literally out loud because this is so my style. oh my god! excuse me while i scream because every 2 seconds this song got better? i'm dramatic but are you kidding me...who is responsible for this? i'll kiss them. on the hand because corona. my shit was rocked. wig, snatched. hotel, trivago.
ONLY HUMAN - gorgeous. talk your shit! i felt this one. relatable and a familiar groove i really like.
DOMINO - oh this is different but i was feeling it immediately. this is the kind of sound that takes awhile to carve out and pull off yet they completely bodied it. delicious. wow, does sm even know what they have here?? wayv world domination...
UP FROM HERE - well hi hello. this is also different. not a favorite at first but they did something here and it was interesting and enjoyable. that chorus though, is excellent! i also want to take the moment to just remind you that xiaojun's vocals wipe the floor with so many people. and vocalists like him aren't supposed to also be visuals to his degree. this is why the gods made him short. he's too powerful. also this is the first song where i actually could pick out winwin so i'm a bit sad about this..
ELECTRIC HEARTS - this is their response to the 80's retro trend isn't it? it still feels kinda early 2000's too. whoa. i'm writing this as i listen and a lot just happened with guitars and electric sounds and i should have worn more than three wigs because they're all gone now. i honestly had to exhale when the song was over because i went Through It.
STAND BY ME - a cuter, fan song maybe? i like these types of songs. this gives me such a nostalgic feeling. cute is the word to describe everything about it, i think. what a nice way to end.
<aside> 💡 final thoughts: wayv is so talented it's almost stupid. i don't know where yang yang came from (germany?) but send him back because he is a problem and i mean that in a good way. but anyway, i liked their first album quite a bit and the second mini a little less but this is definitely my favorite release from them. it's actually amazing? i am so glad i gave it a full listen because my ears were blessed. did you want to groove on a spaceship type of feel with a little more surprise seasoning? even if not, this album is for you.
